Sculpture by the Sea

I’m in Sydney for a few months, having arrived October 19th and will be staying until early January.

One of the first things Sanford and I did is take in the Sydney Sculpture by the Sea festival. I have been to it once before and it is a favourite of mine.

This year, Sculpture by the Sea marks its 20th anniversary and features over 100 pieces by artists from Australia and around the world.  The sculptures are placed along the 2km coastal walk between Bondi Beach and Tamarama Beach on the shores of the South Pacific Ocean. The natural landscape of the area adds a certain beauty and at times fun element to the artwork.

Without further ado, here are some pictures to give you a feel for the event.

Take care,

Mag

  1. Hi Margaret
I’m sorry that we didn’t connect before you left.
Glad to learn that you’ve safely arrived in Australia. Those are some interesting sculptures – especially the one that looks like a body in a bag. I guess it’s true, life imitates art😀
    Cheers,
    Michelle
